    *.* Vietnam-HoChiMinh/Saigon *.*

28th November 2006, well, took a taxi to Changi Airport T2, went to the check-in counters. But! Guess what? Economy Class was full. Luckily we had firmed seats. So, we were upgraded to Business Class, First Class cabin. The seat was spacious. The moment we entered the cabin. They start serving you. Unlike the Economy Class. Watched movies but due to the short flight to Vietnam, the movie have to stop halfway.

Got down the plane, went for immigration. After Immigration we took a taxi to the hotel. Cost about ₫73000 VND. Went to Ben Thanh Market, the night market...I don't know whether to call the place clean or unclean. Theres this woman when talking to her, i saw ants crawling in and out of her hair. *puke*. Vietnam is Famous for the 'Pho', Beef Noodles. Not bad food. We had tours to Mekong River. The different Islands, they have unicorn island, phoenix island, Dragon island. Quite Fun though.

Went to the CAO DAI temple. Some religion in vietnam. This religion is unique, it had mixture of Roman Catholicism, Taoism, Buddhism. Went to Cu Chi Tunnels too! It shows the events of vietnam war, how the locals build small tunnels to hide from the Americans. Bought many shirts. Bought a vienamese hat. LOL..ok..i guess thats my trip. Short but quite fun

    *.* Christ the King *.*

Today we celebrate the feast of Christ the King. I went for the 6pm mass today. It was celebrated by Fr. Johnson Fernandez and the Homily was by Fr. John Bosco Franklin Pereira. The sound system in the church was not very good today. So some parts of Fr. Bosco's homily was unclear but still understandable. The homily started off with a story:

There was once a king. This King was in love with a girl, but this girl was a peasant. The King knew it was impossible for him to marry her. At that time, they could only marry people of royalties. Their status gap was too wide. There was only one way out. That is to renounce his kingship so that when he lowered himself to be a peasant, both of them could marry. End of Story.

Well, the above is just a summarised story. It was written by a well known theologian. Then, Fr. Bosco Continued:

The king in the story is Jesus Christ Himself, and the girl in the story is the entire people of God. We, as children of God are called to be Priest, Prophet and King. WE are called to join christ with a Priestly role, a prophetic role and Share his Kingship. We are being called to continue this story of christ, which is occuring now...

Well, if i am not mistaken, when christ lowered himself to be one of us, that term is called Kenosis. It is in one of my post.

In yesterday's novena. Father tells us, for christmas, it is not about wrapping presents, christmas trees etc. Christmas is NOT Christmas if we don't put christ in the centre of our lives. YEAH! SO THIS CHRISTMAS ..NO PRESENTS!
